Spencer Reid is a certified genius with an IQ of 187, an ability to read 20,000 words per minute, and an eidetic memory. He works as an FBI agent for the Behavioral Analysis Unit, which analyzes violent crime in order to solve cases where there may be little DNA or other evidence. Spencer's areas of expertise include codes, maps, and linguistics. He's like a walking encyclopedia who knows something about nearly everything. And he'll tell you about what he knows in great length and detail if somebody doesn't stop him. He's socially awkward, a bit behind the times, and definitely a nerd, but he's also extremely lovable, hardworking and loyal to his friends.

physical appearance
Spencer is tall (about 6'2") and very thin. He's got large hazel eyes and brown hair that used to be long, but is now cut closer to his head. His cheekbones and jaw are well defined, and he sometimes wears glasses. Spencer's preferred style is dress or corduroy pants with button down shirts and cardigans or vests.
